Cardivas CR 20 mg is a prescription medicine belonging to a group of drugs known as beta blockers. It is often used with other medicines for the following conditions. Cardivas controlled release is used often with other medicines for the following conditions:
— To treat patients with high blood pressure
— To treat patients who had a heart attack that worsened how well the heart pumps
— To treat patients with certain types of heart failure
Cardivas medicine is not approved for use in children under 18.
— Do not take Cardivas CR is used, often with other medicines for the following conditions.
— Have severe heart failure and require certain intravenous medicines that help support circulation.
— Have asthma or other breathing issues
— Have liver problems
— Are you allergic to any of the ingredients in Cardivas controlled released tablet
— Have a slow heartbeat or certain conditions that cause your heart to skip a beat.
Tell your doctor about all the medical conditions, including if you:
— Have asthma or other lung problems such as bronchitis or emphysema
— Have diabetes
— Have thyroid problems
— Have diabetes
— Have a condition called pheochromocytoma
— They are scheduled for surgery and will be given anaesthetic agents.

Common side effects of Cardivas CR 20 mg include diarrhoea, weight gain, shortness of breath, and tiredness. If you wear contact lenses, you may have fewer tears or dry eyes that become bothersome. Contact your doctor if you have any side effects that bother you or persist for longer.
Take Cardivas CR 20 exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Take the tablet daily with food. You must take medicine only one time each day. To reduce the risk of side effects, take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. Take the controlled-release tablet one time each day with food. To lessen side effects, your doctor might begin a low dose and then slowly increase the dose. Swallow the pill whole without chewing or crushing the pill. Do not stop taking Cardivas controlled release tablets, and do not change the amount of this medicine you take without speaking to your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time to take the next dose.
